I would be remiss if I didn’t say that there’s a lot more to this book than the gay “hook”. It’s a well told story of lies and deceit and the aforementioned legal “stuff” with some well developed characters that are much like those right out of modern day news stories. It’s almost chilling in how realistic it actually is!

which was published in 1991 and which I read way back then. Since the details of the story were not stored in my memory banks, I bought the book and read it again like it was the first time.
but she gained some new fans too. 
returns to her original roots with Scarpetta as a 1st person story teller. Another book is due out later this year.
, some that is highly controversial as well. Several of those non-fiction books are certainly worth a read. If you read or have read “Case Closed” and you’ve read some of the arguments against her theory, I’d love to hear your take on it. Feel free to comment on this post.

Her work though is well known to lesbian themed fiction readers and I have no doubt it will be hanging around on the list for a little while. As usual, we have a lot of female writers in the mix of all the new books. Gay fiction is not only popular with gay male readers but also with straight women. Maybe straight men should do a little reading in the gay fiction area? Couldn’t hurt, might help… you never know!
, a novel about the lives of black, gay power couple Tyrin and Khalil.
which picks up the story of Tyrin, Khalil, Khalil’s family and friends Kerrion and Spencer about two years or so later. This book too is a wild ride of emotional highs and lows with a whole lot of anger and resentment stirring the pot.
is threatening for the top spot as it stays strong and works up from number five on the list to number 2.

True to the western romance nature of her previous books, this time we get a female bull rider (if you’re not familiar with the sport, you have no idea how rare that is) and the woman who hopes to pry her away from the arena and all of the associated dangers. I have a nephew who thinks riding bulls is fun. I’m thinking I’m going to have to check this one out.

. It was published for the Kindle this past October. The plot revolves around middle aged gay New Yorker Ryan Kinkaid and his desire to get out of New York for the oppressively hot summer months. An antiques dealer by trade, he wants to go somewhere that’s cooler and out of the city but close enough to lots of antique hunting with a major city nearby. He settles on Portsmouth, New Hampshire, finds a rental house and moves in for 4 months with his best friend Lauren, a museum curator, in tow.
was released. Talk to any male to female transgender person who has read this book and they’ll tell you that it is palpably real.
, published in September of 2011, spent a lot of time on last years highly reader rated list. And, in another move that’s no surprise to anyone who reads lesbian fiction for the Kindle, Catherine M. Wilson’s 1st 
, jumps back onto the popular list. How did it ever leave?
. It’s been selling well since its December 1st release but it finally got some reader reviews to get it noticed by people like me! The rest of the books on the list appeared last week but they’ve jostled around a bit.

. The book did appear on the previous version of the hot list. It’s nice to see it back and in the top spot.
. Frankly, though it does have a lesbian erotica theme, it’s written from the perspective of a man giving a birthday present to himself by giving “an experience” to his wife. If you’re into that type of thing, great. This isn’t a “bisexual” or “experimenting” reading list but a lesbian one, so I passed.
by author Robert L. Sheeley. I started reading this once it slowed down last Monday night at work. It didn’t slow down until later so I only got about 50 pages in on Monday. On Tuesday, we were slow early in the day and I became totally immersed in this literary tour de force of slavery and sodomites in the old American south. A sodomite is what a homosexual was called before the terms gay or homosexual came into common usage. In the days before the civil war – and for a long time afterward – sodomy was a crime in most of the United States and men who “practiced” it were criminals. Anyway, Tuesday was the most frustrating reading day I’ve had in a very long time because, frankly, this book is great and every time I was interrupted I had to tear myself away! I didn’t get to finish it until Wednesday.
