Comedy

There’s a trend lately to make gay and lesbian themed comedy movies for straight audiences. While some of these do get a lot of laughs from both crowds (Adam Sandler and Kevin James in “I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry” spring to mind), the best “gay” comedies, in my opinion, are the ones that are not overtly seeking laughs like old fashioned slapstick.

Imagine Me & You – A light and fluffy romantic comedy with a decidedly lesbian twist! It stars Starring Piper Perabo, Lena Headey, Matthew Goode and Celia Imrie. I reviewed this September 9th, 2011.
