There are thousands of LGBT themed works of fiction out there. There are hundreds that are very highly reader rated. There are many dozens that I’ve personally read. Unfortunately, there are also many that I’m sure are great that I’ve just not had the time to get to. My personal tastes play a role in what I’ve actually read as well.
I want to include works on the fiction pages of this site that will be of interest to all in our community who read fiction, so I’m leaning toward listing books that I’ve read myself first and also listing highly rated books. By highly rated, I don’t mean fluffy publisher reviews or reviews by staff writers at major outlets who got advance copies. I mean reviews by real people like you and me.
Please note: This page will show books that I’ve reviewed which don’t fall into the gay or lesbian specific fiction categories, as far as story line is concerned. For gay fiction or lesbian fiction reviews please click those items in this sentence or in the box to the right of this text. Also of possible interest, for those of you that have an Amazon Kindle book reader, might be the page devoted to the current top 10 gay fiction and lesbian fiction books for the Kindle.
Books I’ve reviewed:
The Tales of the City series by Armistead Maupin. Please see my June 6th, 2011 post for my review.
