I haven’t done a gay and lesbian Kindle fiction update in a couple of weeks. The last one was Labor Day weekend. It was worth the wait as we’ve had some surprise changes in a few areas.
First, in highly rated lesbian fiction, we have a new book in the top 10 at number ten. The View from 16 Podwale Street came from literally nowhere as it’s never been seen on either the highly rated or trending popular lists before. It’s been out since only July but it has 16 ratings and it’s averaging 4.8 out of 5 stars. Now, I often find it a little suspect when I see that many reviews for a previously “unknown” author with their first book but, I looked a bit more in depth and this one looks legit. Author Paul Alan Fahey has credibility from a long writing career even if it hasn’t been with novels and several of the 16 reviews for the book are an “Amazon Verified Purchase”. Take a look at this one!
On the lesbian fiction for the Kindle popularity scale we have another shocker with a never before seen book coming in at number one: Tactical Pursuit. It’s actually the 2nd Kindle publication by new this year author Lynette May.
In highly rated gay fiction, after weeks – probably a couple of months or more – we see the long running number 1 and number 2 books switch positions. Our new number one looks like it may stay on top for a while. Late comers reading the book that is now at number 2 aren’t rating it as high as early readers did. Still, it’s been out and doing well since early December which is huge in the life of an eBook so it’s had a great run and doesn’t appear to be “leaving” the list any time soon. We also had a book jump off of the “trending popular” list for gay fiction onto the highly rated list at number nine.
As is usual for gay fiction, the popularity rankings almost completely changed again over two weeks ago. One of the five books from the last update remains. The rest are brand new. Check these and everything else that I’ve mentioned out here:

Enjoy your weekend!

Shelly, I hadn’t seen this note before on my book, The View from 16 Podwale Street. Thank you for those nice words.
