Written by I don’t normally talk politics, other than in a very broad sense, on this blog for the obvious reason that it’s primarily a book review blog. Something came to my attention tonight though that I just have to share.
Stonewall Columbus sent me an email that included a YouTube link that blew me away. I dare say, it will have that effect on many others in central Ohio. I have to tell you, that having lived in Franklin County Ohio for the better part of 18+ years, I’ve seen a lot of democratic politician Mary Jo Kilroy. A lot of her stances during her tenure as a county commissioner I – quite honestly – have not liked. Many, though they might be staunch democrats, would likely agree.
I once had a lengthy conversation with a canvasser who was from another part of the state who came to the door looking to drum up support for her during one of her congressional campaigns about why she was encountering so much animosity toward her even among registered democrats. Though personally, Ms. Kilroy is likely a very nice person, politically, she often came off as abrasive and unyielding. That’s why this video is such a surprise. As one comment says, “My faith in humanity is beginning to be restored.”
